Race car driver Cody Brewczynski had a busy weekend on the streets of the Gold Coast recently competing in two categories at the GC500.
Double stinting in both V8 Superute Series & Aussie Racing Cars, with back to back races keeping him on the hop between race end and alternate series race start!
An important weekend for this young racer competing for the Aussie Racing Cars title, although an outside chance he was still in the running from a points perspective after great results in previous rounds. The streets of the Gold Coast were not kind to the Aussie Racing Cars as they battled there way around the tight circuit resulting in a few disrupted races making it hard to build momentum in the hunt for more points. Finishing 3rd overall in the points to round out a very busy year.
In the V8 Superutes he was a good chance for a podium finish and even a win after a great drive at Bathurst this year resulting in 2nd for the round which is no mean feat when talking about “The Mountain” The kerbs and chicanes were not kind to the steering on Cody’s V8 Superute but he still managed to finish 4th in Race 1 and held his own for the remaining races to finish the round in 5th and also holding on to 5th in the championship.
Next round the VAILO Adelaide 500 for the final race of the year in November, we will keep you posted on the results.
